Pardon The Interruption
Ok, ok. I know I am perpetually terrible at having huge gaps in my posting. But I have a perfectly good reason this time, I promise! As the video suggests, yes, I finally found a cave-man to drag me off to the altar.
What can I say? The unnamed significant other and I ran off and eloped. We even had the "shortened version" ceremony in which the very sweet and patient judge put up with me being so nervous that I was whispering at the end and then managed to put his ring on the wrong hand. I gave him the correct hand and was so jittery that I couldn't work out in my head which hand of his I needed. I am just happy that it was my husband's hand that I put the ring on and not some passing stranger's.
The ceremony itself was very short but the wait for it was about 2 hours and there were about 25 other couples. We were number 11 and number 10 was an adorable tiny little set of his and hers vintage 1940's cake toppers. He was in his fancy little navy uniform and she was wearing this adorable polka-dot dress and had a big silk flower clipped into her hair. The groom was maybe an inch or two taller than me and I was towering over the bride, even tho she was in heels. Too cute! I wanted to stick them in my purse to use when I have a proper wedding reception.
I would like to post pics of the actual ceremony (compliments of the husband's fantastically patient mother) but I look shocked and terrified in all of them and he just looks dignified and gorgeous, asshole.
Anyhow, so that's it for now, lol. I will definitely post more of the story of the last few weeks intermittently to tease the husband.
