muzak

The store I work at has 5 or 6 "channels" of pre-approved music that we can listen to. Most of it is listenable and sometimes they play one of my favorite, non-offensive, songs from the 90's. The past few nights the tuner has been set on whatever channel it is that Carly Simon would be classified as and, even though I know all the words to "You're So Vain" and have heard it aobut 6 times in the last few days, the other night when I was walking around in a daze I misheard the lyrics and had to stop what I was doing to focus completely on the song. What? What was that? OMG!! CLOWNS ATE HER DOGGIE???? Ohh...Right. Clouds...in her coffee. That's better, I suppose, to not have a spoon to stir your creamer than to have a gang of painted freaks eat your little Papillon or whatever.

...heh...I can just see those clowns with blood dripping down their faces....wait, no. I think they would be sitting around a little round table with the roast puppy under a cloche...drinking tea.

Heheh. That will be added to my list of wrong lyrics to sing at Adam.

He claims I can ruin any song for him now. That will be a fun change from singing it "clowns in my coffin".

P.S. It goes "you're so lame" after that.

Oh yeah, and Adam likes to sing the bit about the "wife of a close friend" as "wife of a postman".

So who's ruining whose song, I want to know?
